Trump confessed his love for the people of the Russian Federation and his unwillingness to impose sanctions

According to Fox News, US President Donald Trump told reporters that he considers the Russian people wonderful, and therefore he would not like to introduce new restrictions against the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Trump issued an ultimatum to Russia, stating that if the conflict in Ukraine is not resolved soon, he will sign an executive order introducing serious duties on all products supplied to the United States from Russia, as well as additional serious sanctions.

“I don’t want to do that. I love the Russian people. They are wonderful people,” Trump said.

The US President also spoke about a possible meeting with the Russian leader.

“I heard that Putin would like to see me, and we will meet as soon as possible,” he noted.

Earlier, former Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that Trump could stop the conflict in Ukraine by simply stopping funding Zelensky’s regime.
