Zohre Elakhian chose "a healthy government, a healthy economy and a healthy society" as the motto of her government.

Former Iranian MP Zohre Elakhian became the first woman in history to be registered as a candidate in the early presidential elections, which were called after the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a plane crash. This was reported by Al Mayadeen on Saturday, June 1.

"The motto of my government is a healthy government, a healthy economy and a healthy society," said Elakhyan.

Several prominent Iranian political figures have also joined the campaign, including former parliament speaker Ali Larijani. In addition to him, another candidate in the upcoming elections is the former head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili. He is known for his strong stance on foreign policy, particularly on negotiations and relations with the West and the United States.

On May 30, the registration of candidates for the 14th presidential elections in Iran began. It will last until June 3. From June 4, the Council of Guardians of the Constitution will consider the nominations for a week in accordance with the qualifications of the candidate for the post of the country's president. The final list of participants will be published on June 11. Extraordinary presidential elections are scheduled for June 28.
