The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, together with the Ministries of Ecology and Natural Resources, Emergencies, and Water Resources and Irrigation, is developing the Tasqyn information system, which will allow flood forecasting and modeling. It is integrated into the GloFAS global flood warning system. The system will allow receiving long-term flood forecasts for 135 rivers. This was reported by the official representative of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Moldir Abdualieva, at the CCS platform. According to her, the first forecast will be received approximately in early February, the second – in early March.

"The data will also be used to forecast floods. In addition, a flood forecasting and modeling methodology has been developed and approved for use in the Tasqyn system. According to the algorithm, authorized bodies enter information into the system on the water level in reservoirs, the volume of water drainage, and hydrometeorological forecasts," said the official representative of the department.
